Reconciliation¶
Compare gateway settlements with Transaction History, and review payment attempts awaiting resolution. These pages show how to check outcomes and complete your payment records.
| Page | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Reconcile payments | Comparing gateway settlement against your Transaction History, on demand or on a schedule |
| Resolve unresolved transactions | Reviewing stored gateway outcomes and completing their transaction records |
Review Gateway Status before retrying a payment
Check the unresolved transaction’s Gateway Status to see whether the gateway charged, authorised or declined the payment. Resolve the stored outcome before starting another payment. Resolution records the existing outcome without charging the customer again.
Choose the Review Task¶
- Reconciliation compares gateway settlements with Transaction History across a date range. Run it on demand or on a schedule to review matched, unmatched and mismatched transactions.
- Unresolved transactions retains the gateway outcome, amount and payment record while an attempt awaits resolution. Review Gateway Status, then use Resolve to complete the transaction record.
If a customer or your finance team asks about a gateway charge, check unresolved transactions for the stored outcome.
